VoV Enterprises, Inc. is an innovator in Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) using SCADA operated flow control. We manufacture the VoV and VoSmart (V-Smart) Valves, hydraulically operated flow control valves designed to eliminate the entrainment of air with operations using injection or ASR wells. The VoV is designed for dedicated Recharge Wells or (GWR), Ground Water Replenishment, Vadose Zone Wells, Pump and Treat (PAT) Injection Wells, while the V-Smart Valve is utilized in Sea Water Barrier, Water Banking, ASR and GWR wells.

Both valves are installed in the column pipe below the static water level. By starting a well with the Valve in the closed position and slowly opening the valve to the desired flow, cascading water and the resulting air entrainment are eliminated.

The VoV Valve allows for single-direction flow while the V-Smart Valve allows for unrestricted reverse flow through the valve during recovery pumping or ASR application.

The VoV and V-Smart Valves are suitable for potable and highly treated Reverse Osmosis (RO) water, groundwater remediation or cleanup, subsidence control, or use with salt water barrier applications, water banking or drought mitigation and oil-field flooding. Unique design features eliminate surging and cavitation-free operation.

Ground water is one of the Nation's most valuable natural resources. It is the source of about 40 percent of the water used for all purposes exclusive of hydropower generation and electric power plant cooling.

Surprisingly, for a resource that is so widely used and so important to the health and to the economy of the country, the occurrence of ground water is not only poorly understood but is also, in fact, the subject of many widespread misconceptions.

Common misconceptions include the belief that ground water occurs in underground rivers resembling surface streams whose presence can be detected by certain individuals.

 These misconceptions and others have hampered the development and conservation of ground water and have adversely affected the protection of its quality. In order for the Nation to receive maximum benefit from its groundwater resource, it is essential that everyone, from the rural homeowner to managers of industrial and municipal water supplies to heads of Federal and State water-regulatory agencies, become more knowledgeable about the occurrence, development, and protection of ground water.
